Cedar is a widely used ingredient in perfumery. Known for its fresh woody notes, cedar is derived from the green leaves of the tree, steam-distilled and the oils used across a range of fragrance applications.
I love woody fragrances and have a large cedar tree in my backyard--that beautiful smell scents my home during the holidays when I cut down boughs and hang them up.
Cedar is known for it's calming and soothing properties in aromatherapy and give a gorgeous base upon which to build a fragrance. Our Sanctuary, Homebody and Slow Jam candles contain varying degrees of cedar.
