from 156 reviewsEasily my new favorite. Soft and warm, the milky cardamom is dreamy. The dry down is comforting, elegant, and quietly addictive. I keep catching myself smelling my wrist throughout the day.
Little House perfumerie has such a thoughtful collection of fragrances. I fell in love with Odette Parfum Co and look forward to collecting more. Rose adage is a very dewy watery fresh rose. Perfection.
I bought this perfume after READING the notes ~ Pink Pepper, Grapefruit, Anise, Ginger, Polynesian Hibiscus, Jasmine, Tuberose, Honeysuckle, Vanilla, White Musk ~ (an extraordinary list of notes it is) ~ LOVING the name *What We Almost Had* (an inviting, poetic, thought provoking name) ~ and WONDERING which note would rise to the top. Would it be Tuberose...Jasmine...Hibiscus...Vanilla? I'm here to tell you....it's not one of them; it's all of them. It's one of the most perfectly blended perfumes I've experienced. It has a gentle spiciness (Pink Pepper + Anise) and an exotic (not Tropical) floating floralness. The result is greater than the sum of it's parts. You'll need to experience it for yourself to know. I'm happy I have *What We Almost Had*.
One of my faves! A year round perfume, my husband wears it too!
I first found Little House via GOOGLE searching for a perfume named EMILY for my dear friend Emily. I ordered it (and a few other things). When I got it...it wasn't quite right for Emily. But....ORIGAMI (from Ki-Oku) was/is fantastic ~ Emily LOVES it. I went back (online) to Little House looking for a JULIET for my dear friend Juliet. This time...I hit the jackpot. Juliet loves loves loves JULIET. She told me she hadn't bought herself a new perfume in quite a few years....so JULIET isn't only new-smelling (it's very fresh and new)....it's NEW in her scent library. 10/10
I have to admit, the first couple of minutes after spraying this on my skin, something seemed a bit off-putting. I am sensitive to vetiver and sandalwood, so it may be one of those notes. However, soon after, I was met with the most cozy lemony black tea scent, wrapped in a fluffy, lightly sweet, floral pastry experience. I could not stop smelling my arm where I sprayed the perfume. This is a unique perfume that can work in every season, except perhaps, very hot summer days.
I bought Absy for my GF for her birthday she loved it! The owner takes great care in selecting the best. This particular one is from Portland I had it mailed to Hawaii. Great service. I'll stop by later in the week to this little perfume house, it makes my day!
I happenstanced upon *Little House* while searching for a perfume named *EMILY*. After reading about *EMILY* and *The Cleanest Hippie on Earth* (and putting both in My Cart) I started reading descriptions of other *Little House* offerings. I came upon *ORIGAMI* by KI-OKU. I added that to My Cart, too. A few days later I went back to order another *ORIGAMI* and *Freyja*. I've since gone back to order more *ORIGAMI* The orders are always lovingly packaged and sent out quickly. I'm happy I happenstanced upon *LITTLE HOUSE*.
Well, for me I really have an incense note coming through. It’s sensual but not over powering. It smells like a warm summer night! With my skin it does need to be reapplied half way through the day, but I do wash my hands a lot. Will repurchase!
Booze-soaked cherry icing melting over a warm batch of vanilla chai cinnamon buns. The perfect holiday scent. Magnifique.
I bought EMILY because it's the name of one of my dearest friends. When I read the notes...it felt a bit tougher than Emily...the person so...I also bought ORIGAMI. Lo-and behold...my instincts were correct: Whiskey, Coffee, Sandalwood lean a bit more *M* than *F*. Not to say a woman person couldn't rock it....perfume is perfect for whoever wants to wear it. I gave ORIGAMI to Emily; I kept EMILY for myself. I wore it today with a schpritz of Tobacco ~it's fantastic. EMILY for the win.
I was shopping for someone else. I read the ORIGAMI description "....unfolds like a crisp sheet of paper catching the breeze, airy and weightless, carrying whispers of blooming cherry blossoms and the subtle sweetness of sun-ripened fruit." I loved the way it sounded, I felt like it might be the fragrance version of Chopin's Nocturne in E-Flat Major, Op. 9. I bought it *blind*. Listing the notes is irrelevant, like naming the notes in the Chopin piece. ORIGAMI is a gorgeous perfume. Treat yourself to something truly beautiful and listen the the Chopin piece.
This one has a meditative mood. Very nice fresh and relaxing. I like the shape of the bottle so it's right for a shelf. Next time I think I'll try a citrus one.
