Slow Jam

I struggle with finding fruity candles - especially noncitrus ones - that don’t skew too sweet or young. Plum has been an absolute godsend for me so far in this category. I’m not someone who enjoys overly sweet candles, so I was a bit nervous about ordering this one. Luckily, everything works together to create photorealistic jammy goodness. It reminds me of the inside of a stone fruit cobbler. I would happily burn this candle while having guests over to trick them into thinking something magical was happening in my oven.

And shout out to whoever named this Slow Jam because there is something smooth and sexy and 90’s R&B about this candle. It takes me back to evenings I would fall asleep on the couch and wake up to smooth jazz television.

Personally, the throw was a bit strong for my office but perfect for my living room. I had some tunneling on my third burn but fixed it with a quick foil and haven’t had any problems since. This works nicely burned in tandem with spicy and woody scents.

This candle is my jam (lol). There is nothing artificial about it, it’s a very smooth jammy scent that is grounded in the amber and vanilla. It’s jammy in the same way that wine has notes of cherries and plums. Rich, cozy, slightly sweet, I adore this candle! It has an amazing throw.
